We introduce ourselves

Villa "Polar-Stern" was erected as a family-owned boarding house almost 100 years ago on the "Bülow-Weg" (now "Ostseeallee"). Its name was carefully selected since, like its namesake, the hotel sees itself as a beacon of hospitality to all travellers, much like the Polar Star was and is to navigators throughout the year. The Pole Star is also first to rise in the evening and last to make way for the sun at morn. Bright and cheerful, stalwart and true, "Polar-Stern" remains a lasting commitment to its owners, the Kurbjuhn family and entire staff right up to the present day.

With many years of experience abroad in Finland, Africa, the USA, Spain, Cyprus and Canada, Kurbjuhn family and personel look forward to hosting their esteemed guests from near and far right here on the "German Riviera" in Mecklenburg.

Hotel is renovated at regular intervals, eg. Reception area, public rooms and bathrooms in 2012.
